Maybe instead of removing them they make them more expensive? Costing 40+ for guns and 30+ coins for armor

Naw I have over 650 coins and could still buy the gear. A better option would be to purchase an exotic engram that could turn into any piece of armor or weapon in his loot table. This engram should cost at least 40 coins.
