Can I download/install Destiny in Offline/straight from disc?

I have no DSL and I find downloading Destiny is the worst. It's been over 12 hours and it's at 26%. Can I install it in offline mode, or should I just wait? (I had to re-install because of persistant wasps.)

You can download off the disk to a certain extent, but you still need to be online for the updates.
