Well the Rakatan destroyed themselves for the most part if that's what you're asking...
They turned into a cannibalistic race of psychos who were corrupted by the dark side of the force.

The rakata that weren't killed had their connection to the force severed this made the rakata unable to use most of their machines that were force powered. This greatly weakened them and the slaves United and overthrew the rakata.

That's kind of the idea, there only in like one comic but there remnants are everywhere. They created the planet corellia and enslaved the rakatans and killiks. There practically precursors in halo.
