Yeah it would be interesting. I guess I just don't know how I feel about people throwing aside the new guns before they try them. I'm a collector of the raid gear and early weapons myself but if I'm fighting bigger badder enemies I want bigger badder guns designed for those enemies.

  • I'm not throwing aside anything, though! I agree with you, and I want new gear as much as anyone, believe me. I just don't see any logical reason why that means I have to use [i]only[/i] new gear. It'll just mean that everyone will start using the same gear [i]again[/i], because the pool of worthwhile gear is going to be small, again.

  • I think it's more of an incentive thing, bungie knows that of people can use old gear, not as many people would want to get new gear. I guess well have to wait and find out haha

  • No one here ever said that we don't want to use the new guns. I love seeing what I might be able to add to my armory with each expansion, but I need to be able to decide that for myself. Guns are as much a personal expression of play-style as anything else in this game, so the idea of anyone deciding to change the nuances of how I play defeats [what Bungie claims is] the purpose of this whole game.
