Well, he sold it. So does that mean the nerf is irrelevant now? Everyone can go on the forums and say Ermagherd i haz Gallyhorny! So no discrimination, right??
Made me happy, I got that third one for my last character. I bet I hear "scrub, you didn't earn that" while I'm leveling it up! :)

Probably needed a nerf anyway so content wouldn't only be too hard or too easy depending on whether you had it.
