Myself and others from my Clan have been talking about this exact same topic for the past week and while doing so several of us have gotten frustrated, even angry, about the changes and what you've detailed here. You nailed everything we have been discussing in this post and I applaud you for both saying it and framing the whole discussion of how poorly the game is being managed. To add insult to injury, I've been playing the game for a yr on three characters and until this Tuesday's Nightfall had yet to get a Gjallarhorn...then Xur sells it this week for everyone to have before they nerf it. Bungee are starting to push people away from this game to look at new opportunities, which is a shame.
