Me and a friend are discussing if Armor Lock is OP. I say it's OP while he says its UP. Can somebody explain why it would be UP?

Armour Lock is kind of annoying at times.
-
It's fine. Great when against vehicles, heck almost required. In slayer though? Camp three feet away with a grenade and wait about 4 seconds before a throw. At that point they're -blam!-ed.
-
It is pretty worthless, so many people who i see activate it just live a little longer, you just sit their and wait for it to be done and finish them off. While using their shields dont regenerate, nor do they do damage to you (unless you hit them with a vehicle, but that is still annoying to time). The only hope of someone using that ability is that a teammate will save them in those few seconds, but that seems to rarely happen. There are many other abilities that are far more useful.
-
The fact that people only use it when they are almost dead just to stay alive for like,5 more seconds is stupid.Maybe that's why it's underpowered I only use it in huge btb vehicular maps for fun whenever a guy decides to ram me lol
-
I wouldn't say it's OP, it's just annoying and used by scrubs. Like the AR.
-
I only use it in BTB with vehicles, so is that a bitch move? Other than that I usually run sprint (woo, exercise pun) or jet pack
-
Blast from the -blam!-ing past.
-
It's a bitch's way to avoid being splattered and dying.
-
Really didn't bother me and tbh I used it to get an achievement in MP and never used it again. Could be annoying in a melee situation but apart from that didn't bother me.
-
It is a time out in the middle of a match, as well as made the already very weak vehicles even weaker as you could never splatter someone safely as the risk of instant death thanks to armor lock was always there.

Its overpowered and it was crutch added in to the game to fit the bad players. It gave them a Pause button to use while in a fight to avoid dying.

These poll results bring out exactly how little people understand Halo.
-
It's only good when good players use it.

Timing is everything with that thing.
