I will admit, not the best analogy. Problem is with a car, its done, changed, thats it. BUT with Destiny, they can make changes whenever they want. And before launch, could anyone have adequately done research on destiny? We cant know how a 10 year plan is going to play out, no one could have told me that vanilla guns weren't as good as TDB in damage, no one could have told me vanilla guns would become better than HoW because they could be upgraded, OR that it would all be absolutely pointless in a year No one could have told me how this game was going to turn out as i went to buy it. - it would be like buying a car while its being built; all these cool upgrades are being put in and its really nice, but then they say that after a year of using it, they are going to rebuild trhe car from scratch and you still have to pay them for it. They cant tell you everything that is being built into it becuase they are making the plans as they go. Above all else, i just want them to make a good game that i want to play - not because i already own it, but because it is genuinely good.

  • I'd agree no one could of told you before launch if the game was worthwhile or not, but that's more of an issue with the way games are handled these days. The whole notion of pre-ordering is flawed in my opinion and that's quite a problem we have in this industry. Another good point is you're right no one could of told you the future plans for the DLC's, but it's not like they didn't make changes. They've made effort to change things in this game, they just can't add everything everyone wants and I would definitely say last gen is definitely limiting this game's potential (coming from a guy who plays on 360).

  • Im on 360 too, one because i don't have the money to switch, two because there aren't enough worth while games to make me switch ( fallout 4 is enough to make me switch now though) and finally, i don't want to give up on my old games ( fallout series ftw, i know there is going to be backwards compatibility, but its not here yet so im not considering it my checklist as "check" - can you tell i like fallout) . Hopefully they continue to make changes to this game that make it all the more worthwhile. And pre-ordering. that needs to be fixed or done away with.

Same boat here. This might be the year I get an Xbone because they finally have games that peak my interest. Also I loved Fallout 3. Was my second game to have 100% completion. Right after Dead Space. I have high hopes for Bungie when it comes to Destiny. I just believe people need to give it a lot more time before the game really hits the sweet spot. It is a first of it's kind too. There's gonna be hoops and hurdles to jump through.
