Chasing "The Fermi Solution" - It just got real.
So I am almost positive that when "The Taken King" rolls out that the old faction ships will vanish. I feel like its too late for the Iron Banner ship, although I look forward to a redesign for that guy.
The Dead Orbit ship is another solution. I want it. I NEED it! Oh Fermi! Why do you continue to elude me??
Things have gotten desperate. I've been representing Dead Orbit for a while on my Titan, but now its time to bring my Warlock and my Hunter into the Dead Orbit gang.
Its bounties non-stop until I see Fermi appear in my inventory!!!

If you have the ether seeds, go to variks and buy heavy ammo from him. It's only 100 glimmer as opposed the to kinda expensive gunsmith synths. Then go to the tower and pelt arach jalaal with them.

I love that ship. I was never lucky enough to get any of the old faction ships. I really wanted them all. Combined on all my characters I am DO: 73 NM: 51 FW: 32 I ended up getting the new NM and DO ship. I don't know if the old ones will drop. If they do please let me know because I will continue to grind for them. Also you can still get the IB ship I saw it drop this past IB.

2 RepliesDonate weapon/armor parts/motes/synths to insta level up. Whenever doing bounties, equip a ghost that gives glimmer. Hit 25k cap, buy heavy synth.

So we are coming up on one entire month with The Taken King. Fermi Solution still eludes me. I did get that new Dead Orbit faction ship, but it looks like a chunky space Zebra so I'm not even going to count it. I do have all of the Dead Orbit Shaders now though, so ranking up hasn't been a total loss. I have been getting nothing but Helmets lately though. Anyway, the quest continues...
