Matchmaking is a must! And for those people complaining about other players not putting enough effort, offer an alternative instead of downplaying the need for matchmaking. For example, bungie could implement a voting system where players can vote to kick someone out of the strike team if needed. I am an engineering student and simple do not have the time to search online for strike teams. I like the game, but the lack of this basic feature is putting me off. I haven't even complete the vault of glass because of this.

If you don't have time to look for a team you don't have time to play a raid.

Aw stop it. The GAMER'S point is that the game is designed for GAMER convenience, NOT BUNGIE convenience. They need to code this game for the gamers, otherwise there are plenty of competitors out there willing to take our add on package money, one of those games is GTA Online another is Battlefield 4, both of which I'm returning to if BUNGIE doesn't get to making this game more flexible for gamers. Not everyone plays the game as a full time job, people don't have time to search and search for fire teams.

You definitely missed my point. The players sholdnt have to bother going to social sites in order to play a game they payed for. I should be able to put the disk in my ps4 and jump into a nightfall strike with other players without wasting my time searching for a team manually. If that turns you on good for you, but most people have busy schedules.
