Earning something that is RNG
So this is for all the salty folks that [b]"earned"[/b] their weapons and are mad that Gjallahorn was sold (again) by Xur (sold 2nd week of games release)
I'm thinking of a number between 1 and 40....
Go on guess a number....
Think of that number really hard.
That number gets you a prize if you guess right.

You could always come back everyday and keep guessing and maybe one day you will earn it....
Or you could keep playing the game in other ways and collecting coins to purchase my prize......but collecting coins (money) for playing the game many many consecutive hours (like work) to purchase my prize is not how "true earners" get my prize. "True earners" will guess my number correctly on the first try.

Yes RNG is really messed up and you technically can't earn anything but I believe that people who actually played the game a lot and got the Gjallahorn deserved it but new people coming in to the game just getting it like nothing and also those people who just got it from a nightfall they just joined or something else don't deserve it, now don't get me wrong I'm glad xur is selling Gjallahorn and I believe it's cool for people for which it hadn't dropped yet get it but for" noobs" that have barely done anything to get it and receive it isn't very fair is it? but I don't really care anymore because Gjallahorn is going to get nerfed and with the taken king comes new and maybe even better exotics then the Gjallahorn, but don't get it twisted I will always love the Gjallahorn and remember the first time I put my hands on it, but all I'm saying is just forget this retarded event and enjoy the Gjallahorn before the nerf. Now good day

4 RepliesYou do earn your weapons. Once they drop your free to use them however you like. Whatever you get is random, but you earned it either way. Most people will earn it from end game activities such as nightfall, raids, iron banner, trials, strikes (if your super lucky), and crucible (if your lucky). If you get a exotic from a legendary engram, you earned it simply because it is extremely rare. I have 30 days of playtime, and I got one exotic from a engram (Suros back when it was king). But if you bought the weapon from Xur you bought it in the cheapest way possible. Especially if it was the most powerful weapon in the game.
