IMO GG is the second worst PvE super, ahead of blade dancer, because nova bomb and FoH are just better at generating orbs and the exotics support that better than they do for GG in PvE

GG can generate the same amount of orbs as nova bomb and fist of havoc. Neither of those supers are capable of killing a major at full health. GG with night hawk can.

It can generate the same. On average it only does about 3 while the others get 4-6 for me. But you don't play on your other two characters as much as your hunter so there's no point in Arguing

Do you use combustion? If you spread your shots out amongst mobs you can generate a good amount of orbs. Fist of havoc and nova bomb are easier to generate orbs because they are big explosions. Doesn't make them better. Pve is mainly a damage race and because night hawk is a thing it's instantly better then every other super in the game damage wise. Nova bomb comes close simply because of obsidian mind and juju combo. Fist of havoc is more of a panic safe super to cast if things get too hairy. I don't see why my play time matters. I main a hunter yes. But I have used my warlock a ton in pve and more frequently in pvp lately. If anything my Titan is my neglected class. I still understand how to use them. I feel like you're just copping out because I don't agree.

I just don't like how I have to use a certain exotic to make golden gun viable, and how if I use nighthawk it's just 4 orbs for the 1 major. And there's always the risk of missing.

Viable is hyperbul. If you want damage on golden gun use night hawk. If you want crowd control you can run combustion and symbiote to destroy lots of mobs for orbs. It depends on the major you take down. I have frequently nailed 2 majors with one shot or a major and some mobs due to combustion and get 5-6 orbs. This is really easy to do in a nightfall with a burn or prison of elders. You can miss with any super. Again i'll re state. nova bomb and fist of havoc are easier to use. which is why people think they are much better. Golden gun with proper set ups and a person who knows what they are doing can easily out do those supers. By me stating how good golden gun is i'm not saying all other supers are terrible. I'm simply trying to get it through peoples heads that it's not bad. and it's plenty viable. Which is why again I re state that hunters require the most out of a player to use the best of it's potential.
