Greetings to you, Aerile. By no doubt you have heard of me, yes? But I am Variks, House Judgment scribe to House Wolves.
I have one question for you. Perhaps you would like to help Variks, help the Awoken and humanity in warding off the Darkness. Perhaps we can get a share of the Great Machine's power, yes? Perhaps.

I thank you for the offer, though size is not where my Kellship shall reside. One would ask, why Skolas is so violent? Perhaps the better to ask is why Skolas is so large.

Ether, given by the blind who cannot see that they are following an insane Kell whose age has already ended. Perhaps in time, they will follow the Queen, though I am not sure if she is any better.
