You did not save Britain's ass in WW2. The British cracked the enigma code which lead the allies to win certain battles that would secure victory. Without the British the war would have been lost.

Hitler would've captured Britain and would have been a hop, skip, and a jump away from the U.S. We didn't want that. They definitely helped, but the U.S. Was the clear superpower in ww2
