What inspired your username?
Over the years I've come across alot if unique and wierd gamertags and psn usernames. So I thought I would make a post and see how you guys came up with them.
I created mine about 10 years ago when I was big into the game runescape. I really wanted it to be "awhisperinthedark" but it was taken already and I really didn't want to have number in my name. But after trying for a good hour with different variations I made mine darkvoice7 and had to settle with a number at the end which was my favourite number. Since then it's the one I use for all online games, and I use darkvoice8 for forums and stuff.
If we can get this trending and keep it trending then maybe we can get deej and cozmo to tell us how they got/came up with their names.
Edit: alot of these are really unique :-) it's cool to see how certain things outside of games can have an effect on how people made their names.
Edit2: over 150 replies wow! I honestly wasn't expecting that many :-) thanks to everyone for contributing. Im enjoying reading them, and I'm sure other people are too :-)

On this forum my used name comes from my old runescape account. But on Xbox live I am LordlFarqaud from shrek.

I'll go with #destiny 25% are names from the game so that they can RP and make a "I'm ___ AMA" thread. 25% are names from memes in the game that people blow way out of the water and/or make their own versions of memes expecting to get forum famous. 15% are "TheGreatNike" spin offs. They saw his rise to glory which he reached in about 5 days by doing [b]nothing[/b] but signing his name. [spoiler]Which I find hilarious. "Guardians have no originality and look the same! We also want gun shaders!" --- "Holy shit this guy signs his name?!¿¡?! 10/10!!!!"[/spoiler] 10% are the same username they had from club penguin and minecraft. 9% of them still play. Both. 10% are more memes and shit from destiny 5% are literally just names to get attention and/or to look funny and stupid. 5% MLG memes 5% are actually just regular usernames.

Back in the day In a few competitive games was the name "G-Force" he was the ultimate gaming lord. I decided to become his legacy and include my last name plus the numbers off my best friends psn, thus creating BeeForce4420. Legend is born.

CnC Tiberian Sun unit called the MKII. This unit combined with a carry-all can wreck anyone depending on the users carry/MK skills. Game came out in 99 and I still play today on CNC net.

It was originally SpryGalaxy49480, but I didn't like Galaxy in there so I took it out. It was just one of the reason generated names on Xbox Live

I made mine the day the ps 3 was first sold. It is short for air capital which is the nickname of the city I live in. Of course I didn't realize I would be stuck with it all these years later. My son has no problem reminding me that some people get confused and think it says aircrap
