What inspired your username?
Over the years I've come across alot if unique and wierd gamertags and psn usernames. So I thought I would make a post and see how you guys came up with them.
I created mine about 10 years ago when I was big into the game runescape. I really wanted it to be "awhisperinthedark" but it was taken already and I really didn't want to have number in my name. But after trying for a good hour with different variations I made mine darkvoice7 and had to settle with a number at the end which was my favourite number. Since then it's the one I use for all online games, and I use darkvoice8 for forums and stuff.
If we can get this trending and keep it trending then maybe we can get deej and cozmo to tell us how they got/came up with their names.
Edit: alot of these are really unique :-) it's cool to see how certain things outside of games can have an effect on how people made their names.
Edit2: over 150 replies wow! I honestly wasn't expecting that many :-) thanks to everyone for contributing. Im enjoying reading them, and I'm sure other people are too :-)

So, in high school about 6 years ago, A group of friends and I would uh, pretend to be a [url=http://www.wikipedia.org/wiki/Godwin%27s_law]-godwinslaw!-[/url] group and its supposed to be a play on words for rasicm but also you know Orange juice and yeah. I'm very well known for it on other sites or else I'd change it by now lol

I always thought that was a really funny name to make up on the spot. So Lord McFisticuffs was just funny to me because it sounds so regal but is also goofy at the same time.

Shortened simple so ppl on the forums won't have to struggle trying to figure out if that's a L or a capitol i,and switch between #s and letters. This is the same thing i run into a lot in the internet. "Uhhh just named myself after something c00l!" In my opinion this is pathetic. I realize not everyone is an artist... But don't these people have one ounce of originality?

When i was a teenager a guy at the restaurant i was a disher at had the same name as me so the chef decided to nickname me "Spaz"..... Since then i have been in games....Spaztic, Spaztic420, and in the year 2000 i changed to Spaztic4200 (spaztic420 for the new millennium).
