The only shards are like sparks. Extremely tiny. Pools of them. The window wasnt cut. Its like it was removed right out of the frame! Nothing is left! Complete annihilation actually.

Well, that was interesting... Gregori lets out a low whistle, trying to ponder what could reduce glass to something so small. He leans his head out of the window, looking down at the street below. The microwires in his eyes glow a faint blue in the dim lighting. "Tell me about your guest," he says to the manager, who's waiting at the door.
-
thats what he looked like. Except he has a mechanical right hand, and he wears all black with a cape and cowl. Sorry about the name.
"He uh... He had a black cowl on, it wasnt pulled over though.... He had a black cape, and wore black jeans and a black combat armor piece. He had a strange smile. His name was Vagantem..."
-
The man must have been paranoid to check in like that. Then again, with what happened, maybe he hadn't been paranoid enough. "Who checked him in? I'd like to talk to them. Also, I'll need to check your security monitors," Markov tells the man. "Do you think you can arrange that?"
-
"I'll try, the front desk manager checked him in, but I've already given you as much info as we can. The videos dont show much. They were jammed 2 minutes before the screech occurred."
-
That was a lot of effort for a single man. A lot of tech. I was starting to get a nervous itch between my shoulders. I always got that feeling when I thought I was going to end up in somebody's crosshairs. "Did you find what made the screech?" the man asks, his tone curious. He walks over and begins to rummage through the things the tenant left behind.
-
"It wasnt much of a screech, more a squeal, like a device whizzing until something goes boom. Like it was charging up or something...."
Sonic emitter dude. They shatter glass. This also doesnt end in anyone getting harmed. Sorry to disappoint. But you can track them down and stuff.
The only items of the tenants in the room are a strange dagger, golden blade, pearl hilt. And jewels encrusted on the ends. After that he has his guns-a silenced .45 AP, a M-29 Carbine, and a bolt-action Skyranger sniper rifle. Also a few grenades. Lastly though, a black mask. Looks kind of like a paintball mask. Black. Upon closer inspection it has a voice disguiser. The mask also folds in and out, to reveal the wearers face.
I swear to god if you grab ANY of that stuff....
-
;)
Markov picks up the silenced pistol and acts almost as if he's going to chamber a round. He brings it to his nose and sniffs, trying to tell if the weapon has been fired recently. He checks the rifles next in a similar fashion. "This is some pretty serious hardware," he notes. "Did you ever think about telling this guy to stay someplace else? People that pack grenades and high powered rifles don't lead quiet lives." My best bet was to check around for a sonic emitter. There couldn't be many in the city in private hands. If it was in official hands, then that meant more trouble than I could afford. Gregori stands, thinking, her heavy brow furrowed. Something else occurs to him. The people that had broken the glass had gotten in and out in two minutes. That meant professionals that had learned entrances and exits, where, who, and how. Like I said, the tenant couldn't have a quiet life. "Did any tenants or employees see anything?" Markov inquires.
-
"No. But, two big sectors of broken glass were noted. One in the bottom right corner of our building and then the other where the tenants window was."
btw, it wasnt in and out in two minutes, it was cams were jammed two minutes before they came in. They had done it less than like, one minute lol
-
"Show me the other window," Gregori instructs, turning away from the wealth of weaponry.
-
the dagger was actually a broken sword, but i had it sharpened into a dagger.
"Ok." The man leads you to the bottom floor. The windows on the left side of the building have cracks everywhere, but still havent fallen out. The ones on the right match the ones in the tenants room.
-
With pursed lips, Gregori peers around the room, trying to get a good idea of what was in the room.
Is it just another hotel room?
-
yes, to be honest, its the lounge.
Nothing lies there.
-
"Is anything missing?" It seems like the obvious question, but it's a good place to start. Markov slowly wonders around the room before stopping at the window to look over the design of the cracks.
-
The cracks seem symmetrical. Like whatever hit them was sent across the whole thing, rather than hitting one spot.
-
The cyborg gives a low whistle, reaching out to let his fingers hover just before the glass, but not touching it. This was big and noisy. A distraction. "How many tenants checked out just before or just after this happened?"
-
"None. We did hear slight noises on the roof though. Bout 30 minutes before this happened."
you are on the right track....
-
"I'd like to see your footage of the roof at that time frame, then visit it," Gregori states, turning to look at the manager.
-
"Ok...." After leading you to the security room, he shows you the footage of the roof. The camera shows nothing. Until it catches one small red light. The red light sits on the rooftop. It stays there for the rest of the time. When you arrive at the rooftop, the red light turns out to be a weird disk of some sort.
-
Markov picks up the disk, turning it over in his hand to inspect it. He holds it up to the manager. "Got anything that can read this?" the man asks. He glances back down at the disc curiously, weighing it in a palm that can no longer feel.
-
The disc emits a strange hologram. Its of a woman in a shrouded cowl and cloak. "We only come for our next protege. No harm will come to Sladky. Unless he refuses our offer. Also, this will self destruct in about 10 seconds." The hologram goes away, and the disc begins beeping.
-
The circuitry in Gregori's eyes creates an exact memory of the woman, and it's probably a good thing that it works so fast, because the man barely gives the device two beeps before he hurls it away and into the air before diving for cover. There's no telling how big the explosion will be.

Kaboom motherfuсker.
lol jk.
its about three times the explosion of a frag. Not too big. No one is hurt. But now they know someone knows.

Edited by daveyboy_d: 8/18/2015 5:46:39 AMRemember that itch I was talking about earlier? It was back with a vengeance. Leaning out of cover, Markov stares at where the fireball was. His ears are ringing. "Do you still want me to find out where your tenant went?" he calls out to the manager.
