I'm not throwing aside anything, though! I agree with you, and I want new gear as much as anyone, believe me.
I just don't see any logical reason why that means I have to use [i]only[/i] new gear. It'll just mean that everyone will start using the same gear [i]again[/i], because the pool of worthwhile gear is going to be small, again.

I think it's more of an incentive thing, bungie knows that of people can use old gear, not as many people would want to get new gear. I guess well have to wait and find out haha
