I agree with this one. I do understand ppl's thoughts on Destiny 1 being just a Beta experiment, and the stuff about content broken apart for DLCs and such…well I personally don't pretend to understand game development and decisions required to pursue certain content over other, and what makes the cutting room floor in the final product. Most entertainment forms are much more massive when they begin and are edited down for consumption. they sell director's cut editions of films all the time (same idea - selling same movie twice, but including content already filmed and cut for the original release). I enjoy being involved in a living game development - it seems that most ppl's complaints on this are based on the cost associated, but I decide what to spend my own money on, and I chose to buy TTK, but not the collector's edition because I don't find that worth the $20. to each their own. don't think I've had more entertainment playing a game with other ppl for a long time (I remember sharing controllers around my Atari after all) and it is a good thing - opinion.

  • I have some experience from an internship when an Industrial Designer was my trainer so to speak... All or ideas, sketches, concepts, everything... Maybe, 5% made it? Desiging a game wouldn't be any different. I wouldn't be surprised if Bungie had 50-100 enemy types during the idea fase. The selection is brutal.

  • Well said friend. Destiny has had its ups and downs and certainly isn't perfect, but it's vibrant community and consistent updates makes this game worth playing. I am kinda sour towards the idea of paid DLC as a whole, but it's also a nice thought to have the DLC if someone doesn't mind placing done a few extra bucks to continue playing a beloved game, instead of saving up longer for a whole new game. Based on what I've seen, The Taken King looks like a step in the right direction for Destiny on many fronts, and I am happily purchasing it.
