Activision couldn't invest anymore money into destiny and they couldn't delay it another year. So they salvaged what they could. Look at it from the view point of a publisher and a developer okay. They spent near $500million on this game that's over 2x what activision funds call of duty with their biggest seller. $500million that's a lot of money that is about to be down the drain. And it wasn't just a "oh he left cut it up" it was a decision made over a months time and it probably wasn't an easy choice. But people needed to be paid and bungie had to pay activision back. Personally I only blame the story writer who left because many other employees followed him and he should of put up with it until destiny was finished. He's the reason the story lacks content, he's the reason the game was cut up, and he's the reason we had to pay for some of the content that was cut.
