1. Will old materials (radiant, ascendant, armor/weapon cores, etheric light) have any value for [b]new[/b] weapons and armor, or will they only be relevant to old stuff? For instance, can I trade in weapon cores for something relevant? Let's be serious, the weapons Variks sells are sub-par and apparently will be obsolete aside from getting motes and weapon parts. 2. Is there any point in keeping my Fatebringer? No, PvP or as a collector item are not valid points.
