I'm cautiously optimistic that we might get say one item per character that allows us to ascend one purple weapon to year 2. Even if we have to re level it. If they really reckon the new guns are better than originals, they shouldn't have a problem with each player having say one FB, one VoC and one Found Verdict (not sure you'd ascend BH post nerf). But if they don't it's not a big deal for me.
