They don't have to answer to the community regarding business agreements/contractions.
While they are culpable for Destiny, they don't have to answer the community regarding everything in the game. Their prepared/canned response regarding value/transactions has been the content will speak for itself. with exception of the issue you're speaking about - which isn't only an Activision pricing issue, its a global economy issue and complaining about the pricing of a video game isn't going to resolve it.
