Please let me know if it works, I've been doing the same with no luck just yet, did snag some interesting rares that are decent in crucible. I've got 2 LDR's but I want that longbow.

It works, i got hunter gear, cloaks , the comedian and unfriendly giant. Do the rocs and with some lick you'll nab what you want or want again

See I'm also 100% certain weapons don't drop in Roc strikes the only weapon engrams that drop are from the game enemies not the reward screen so they are house of wolves. The Eris missions do work however
