Will the defense and attack stat be erased then and if so what will current weapons light be?

Nope, well kinda. It shows you the values on your gear, and then averages it to make your light level. Doesn't seem to shot it where it used to be anymore.

Will 365 atk become 42 light then?

It should... that detail hasn't exactly been noted. They said they were still working on some of the lesser numbers.

Light is an average of your attack value and defense value. On missions or raids it will say "suggested light level (x)" Anything less may have a bit of a harder time.
