What level do we start at in TTK? I am getting mixed answers. And if we start at our light level, does that mean I have to equip my 34 gear before it launches?

As I understand it, bungie records the highest level your character ever reached. Even if you put on lower armor, there was a record established noting your highest level and that is what will be used

They said that we will start at the highest level we've obtained. So that means if you are a 34 wearing a bunch of Blues that brings you down to like 25, you will still be 34
