So I can't upgrade some of my year one exotics to year two? What if I want to continue to use my year one exotics? Will they still be as good as the year two exotics?

My understanding is that all year 1 exotics can be brought to year 2 in terms of damage (the fact that exotic shards will still be a useable currency in TTK supports this), but some select year 1 exotics are receiving changes to their stats and perks (such as Suros Regime) that alter their utility in small ways.

My guess is that you will be able to infuse Year 1 Exotics like you are able to with the Year 2 Legendaries and Exotics. I could be wrong though. But I don't see why they would only allow us to upgrade certain Year 1 Exotics, especially when we don't even get to choose them.

No. They explicitly said only year 2 items can be infused by other gear.

Ohhhh I guess I missed that part because I'm working. Well that's disappointing. I guess some Exotics are getting left behind.

You have to infuse them using another weapon/armor of higher attack or defense respectively.
