It allows them to create your NEW favorite weapons to take that place. And you will still want to keep those weapons and armor for all Year 1 content. It allows the game to grow. Stinks, yes, but it's a necessary thing.

A favorite isn't chosen by someone else. When I was a lot younger my favorite song was different than it is now but that is choice not dictation.

With that said: some of yall need to get over the fact that your current favorite will eventually become obsolete. That's just how these games work and grow. And you know what?That's cool and yall will be ok. It just means you have to pick a new favorite you cant play without and will be reluctant to give up at the start of year 3 :)
