DeeJ doesn't advertise Destiny. Destiny has never been advertised as free of grinding. The entire game is designed around grinding. It's got a lot in common with an MMO.
If you want an 8 hour dudebro action corridor shooter with no gear to acquire and upgrade, there are plenty of those available for you.
