I Can't Be the Only One
I can only hope there are others like me.
I preordered TTK, knowing it will be great fun. Played since day one, all previous DLCs, still loving it. I watched the stream, didn't hate any of it. Glad of the new stuff they are putting in. Year 1 gear "useless"? Couldn't give a flying fig. There are more things to attach to my glorious body out there, not to mention we can just break 'em down. Gjallarhorn rendered supposedly (according to forum flailers) pointless? Oh look, another flying fig. It's just a gun. I spent 200+ hours just looking for this gun before I got it randomly from a Nightfall.There might be something better on the way, even if they bring Gjallarhorn to par stat-wise. All this hate about having to re-level our exotics? Who cares, do it while you play the content. Bungie shouldn't have to spoon feed every exotic back to you fully upgraded. Work out those trigger fingers some more. I can say that I am glad I get to do that. I'll revisit all those exotics I neglected (*cough*Plan C*cough*) and maybe they will work their charms and it'll be my new go-to for shattering everything from those fidgety Hunters to the Hive.
I can say with certainty that I'm excited for TTK, and I'm [i]sure[/i] I'm not the only one. Let me hear it, Guardians...
Edit 1: C'mon Guardians, let's get this going. People (and Bungie) need to know how the majority stand.
Edit 2: All these awesome Guardians, and not a single hater to spoil it. This is what I like to see. (Knock on wood)
Edit 3: This thread is just taking off. I can't wait to see the love after the next two Twitch streams. I'm glad to know that there are at least this many people who love this game and for years onward hopefully. Keep on keeping on. Oh, and before I forget: some of you probably know me, but for those you who don't, you can call me Spaz. That's what everyone calls me. At least, I think they mean it as a name.....

It seems the year 2 versions have new perks anyway, so even if we had to, it's essentially a different weapon now anyway, so what does it matter? 90% of the year one exotic weapons were utter garbage anyway, so il be more focused on getting the new exotics. I only ever used gally, ice breaker (when the game first released), hawk moon and thorn. Couldn't care less for the rest.

You are not the only one. I abhor the whiny haters and complainers. Constructive feedback or expressed concerns are one thing... it's entirely different when it's toxicity just for the sake of. I'm with you, and have been pumped for some time. I am even more so after all of the info coming out.

I cant wait to get new guns and armours though i will say i am concerned about my mida muli tool as they have not confirmed if it will get a year 2 version but it could be coming later like gally and patiance and time. Just have to wait and see. We demanded more story, ttk provides this. We demanded more vault space, ttk provides this. We wanted new subclasses, ttk provides. We demanded weapon balance, we are getting it in the 2.0 update. For all the good things that are being offered more people complain because of other things. Like this should have been there from the start. Maybe it should have been but hey activison and deadlines means things get cut. Was i dissapointed with lack of content first offered of course but hey look at where we are now and whats to come whats not to be happy for and anyone entering year 2 will get a great deal buying the legendary edition of ttk as everything is there. And its not like our old stuff is usless. They have already mentioned and confirmed in the interveiws ovee the pst few weeks they will still be useful in year 1 activites and crucible. Everything is still useful somewhere. I am hopeful for the expansion.

I've made some good friends to play with and I genuinely love the game I've had a lot of fun. I watch streamers too with destiny and don't cry or whinge about anything. And very excited for taking king

1 ReplyI like where you are at with this, There are going to be so many awesome things in TTK to equip both armor and weapons it is just going to be plain awesome. I am super pumped for the expansion and everything it will bring. I have to go now and buy some dance emotes.

Still waiting to see all the new playable content that will make the expansion worth $40.00. The stream showed a lot of new ways to grind, I do like the changes, but we need a significant amount of new playable content or the grind gets boring fast.

Level and light are still the same, and you still level the same, they just changed the values. Glad more pieces have impact, but everyone will still have to grind the raid the same way. I'm most happy about the vault. Glad they have increased the space dramatically. Shaders, emblems, and ships are the same. At the kiosk it will tell you to grind vanguard or level up a faction. That is of no help. You can purchase exotics you once had if you decide for some reason to dismantle them. With the added vault space this is a useless feature. New cosmetic options. Meh. They made year one exotics useless. Year two ones are a cool improvement. Weapon upgrading looks like a smart system. Not sure it will get much use since it's limited to year two weapons, but who knows. More vendors to buy from, more things to buy, and a more streamlined currency. All good, but not worth the money for an expansion. Definitely nothing amazing. Tired of saying it, but these are basic things that should have been in an initial release. Glad bungie is working to improve the game, but I'm not sold on TTK yet. Maybe next week will be better.

I'm right there with you OP. Clearly Bungie are learning from past mistakes and changing Destiny to suit. There was nothing in the stream last night I didn't like. Can't wait for TTK to drop now.
