I gotcha. It's just the way Bungie tweaks guns/ the meta I wouldn't want to shard my already owned exotic that's fully leveled up to fully level it again, ya know? I was kinda hoping it was like an exotic vault. Either way. Looks like I won't be dismantling any of exotic weapons until we know if the 2.0 weapon balance is here to stay for a while.
