Will my nechrochasm that I spent two months grinding for be obsolete in pve?

Looks that way even though a couple of weeks ago they talked about making it useful. They are total idiots

"It'll still be useful in regular Crucible." I haven't stopped vomiting since some idiot said that. If it's not useful in Hard King's Fall and future endgame content it's useless to me.
