We're all proud of being part of year 1, whether you accept it or not. And with the recent unveiling of the new shader, I had a thought.
I HATE it.
Why on earth do we need ANOTHER black and white shader? Whats the reasoning behind that? I've been a loyal supporter of new monarchy, and my friends live by dead orbit and future war cult. I have nothing against against the colors, but have they thought we have a tad bit too much of it? I mean, black/orange is an option, black/blue even. God even something as generically "cool" as black/red would be a welcome introduction. And I'm atleast keeping half of the motif there, they could choose drastically different colors, as long as we don't get repeats of shaders we already have. I know you revenant users and dead orbit players would be have stronger opinions than me, so why not share em' here?
Edit: Welcome to the part where I yell at the forums because they don't get the point. This is not complaining about what they're "giving us for free", even though that's a dumb comment in itself. It is about the DESIGN of the shader. If I handed you crap on a stick, you would have to accept it because i gave it to you, regardless of it being crap, as per most of your logic. And while this shader is far from crap, it adds to the eye sore of the ridiculous amount of black/white/monochrome shaders in the game already. We (atleast i hope we) want something interesting to look at that also lets people know we did something cool. Is that too hard to ask for?

Love it!

Shut up Meg.

Edited by drunkenchimpanzee: 8/23/2015 10:58:16 PMThey should make the shader tied to your triumphs. See who the VIPs really are.
-
I will still use bittersteel with my dead orbit like sparrow.
-
I like it but it's the next Chatterwhite (aka, completely overused)
-
>another black and white shader >so far only 4 of these exist in game
-
It fits my gamertag perfectly so hell yes. --They told me I was getting a new sparrow.-- --My question, as always, "does it come in black?"-- --To which I got a surprising answer, "it only comes in black"-- --......-- --"dope, I'll take 3"--

I may wear the shader but I'm definitely going to use that ghost shell. That thing is sexy

I don't know, don't even have the damn thing yet. ~TheGreatNike

Edited by DzusHawke: 8/23/2015 10:39:50 PMI'm not proud at all. Anybody who picks up the DLC today could get it. Plus you have to buy TTK to get them. fuck that dumb shit
-
Not bad. I like it. A free shader is always a good shader!
-
It is the shader system to be blame. Seriously, why can't we just make our own color combination? It'll be waaaaaay cooler:/
-
"Another black and white shader"? The only other black-and-white shaders in the game can only be obtained through random drops from Dead Orbit packages, and we all know that the drop rate for Faction shaders is extremely low right now.
-
I like it and I'm going to use it
-
Your opinion is irrelevant.
-
-
I think it's cool. Stripey black with a little white. Nice.
-
No everyone will have it, not too exclusive in my book Bung speak, here's a reward for being there from the start and from August too if you pre-order and have level 30 toon
-
It's ALL BLACK! Definitely not black and white
-
Revenant was the most sought after shader in Year 1. This is probably the best choice of gift for year ones because they know it will be accepted as the next best thing to revenant.
-
we're not getting it for free...
-
This may come as a surprise to you but you don't actually have to wear it
-
-
It's cool
-
Free cosmetics and ancillaries seems pretty cool to me. Nice little thank you.

The shader is good. But the sparrow is....not so much, I heard it is going to be like one of the xur speeders (as far as stats go).
