Do you like the new VIP shader?
We're all proud of being part of year 1, whether you accept it or not. And with the recent unveiling of the new shader, I had a thought.
I HATE it.
Why on earth do we need ANOTHER black and white shader? Whats the reasoning behind that? I've been a loyal supporter of new monarchy, and my friends live by dead orbit and future war cult. I have nothing against against the colors, but have they thought we have a tad bit too much of it? I mean, black/orange is an option, black/blue even. God even something as generically "cool" as black/red would be a welcome introduction. And I'm atleast keeping half of the motif there, they could choose drastically different colors, as long as we don't get repeats of shaders we already have. I know you revenant users and dead orbit players would be have stronger opinions than me, so why not share em' here?
Edit: Welcome to the part where I yell at the forums because they don't get the point. This is not complaining about what they're "giving us for free", even though that's a dumb comment in itself. It is about the DESIGN of the shader. If I handed you crap on a stick, you would have to accept it because i gave it to you, regardless of it being crap, as per most of your logic. And while this shader is far from crap, it adds to the eye sore of the ridiculous amount of black/white/monochrome shaders in the game already. We (atleast i hope we) want something interesting to look at that also lets people know we did something cool. Is that too hard to ask for?

6 RepliesThis shader will do that. Also just to clarify, if you complain about the item they gave you for free being crap, then you are complaint about the free it that they give you. Even if you try to word it to sound otherwise. It's especially bad that you haven't even had a chance to try it out on your characters and already have a passed such an absolute judgement on it. Maybe wait for it to come out and try it on your characters with your favorite armor builds before you do this....

There are only a handful of monochrome shaders. Chatter white and the rarely dropping Dead Orbit ones. There are more blue ones outside of fwc than probably any other. Picking a color combo that most would want is tricky. They probably did some market research and found that a larger population were after DO shaders than anything else

I personally love the black an white shaders an that shader in my opinion looks absolutely amazing if you dont care for it no skin off my back I think alot of people like it but im not bashing you on your opinion just stating mine

As I am too lazy to grind dead orbit and new monarchy, and I like their shaders. Im all for this shader and suros' shaders
