I just really can't believe it seems like they are making year one raids and other things pointless for new players other than for the fun factor. From what I have seen so far and read the weapons and armor from everything we have grinded so many hours for will be pointless and worthless within the first week of TTK.

It's possible that they won't be. Just check the description of the sword that was highlighted in the stream.

old raids are pointless to new players aside from fun. when we started the level cap put us in line for VoG, the same with Crota the cap putting you in line where that is what you need, with a level cap that's well above either raid what relevance do they have? the gear and weapons are too low level to be of use, it's just for fun and nostalgia of those who were there when it was on level.

They need to ATLEAST keep raid weapons usable or literally no one will do VoG.

no old is pointless, far below the level. if your first raid has all you need why raid ever again.

Started getting into Ff14 while waiting for the taken king, and I believe bungie should take some notes. The varying level of dungeons..each with their own gear sets would some good in destiny.

Yeah it's quite dumb unless they released a new level of the two current raids at like 36, 38 or 40 with higher level armor and such
