So from the stream, I take it that the chances of rolling an exotic in a raid or what not will increase in the TTK?

correct. once you have obtained a certain item it is removed from the list, which increases the chances for something new!

Because I've been holding onto my strange coins hoping for xur to sell the Mida, but I'm starting to think that just raiding/nightfalling for it would be more beneficial, but the loot system is so messed up at the moment that I feel like I'd be better off just waiting for TTK

they didnt mention how exactly the new system would work but i would hope that they would note your inventory before TTk and adjust the rewards list accordingly. to this end i would say it is beneficial to raid/NF. that way, even if you dont get the MIDA the rewards list is shorter for you on 9/15
