Once again maybe but for new comers those raids are good also there will be a ton new weapons and armor come taken king so I'm pretty sure your gonna store stuff in your vault.

So you're suggesting that completing old raids, you get new gear? Or you get old gear, that won't help with end-content anymore?
-
Would you rather crota and atheon rot away never to be played? I for one love the vault and still do it every week..
-
Not really. I find them fun to do from time to time. I'd rather have 5 years of weapons to choose starting in Year 6, not just 1.
-
It's whatever, they're just trying to make it so everyone doesn't use the same loadout, which has become really bad. Especially with rerolls, everyone uses them same guns everywhere. I carry 27 out something guns with me all the time, and end up using the same 4 or 5 for everything. I'm ready for some change.
-
Change - yes, replacement - no. Nobody is forcing anyone to use the same 4-5 weapons. If they (you) think those are the only useful ones, then there should be more of them, not the same number new ones, or else this will be repeated again and again.
-
Nobody is telling you that you can't use those weapons, they'll still be there.. You'll still use them in taken king.. They want you to find BETTER weapons, or else what is the point of playing a shoot and loot..
-
Oh I agree. I just want more of a selection, instead of replace one for one. And yeah, I think they are forcing (or making irrelevant). I don't spend my time doing patrols or crucible (never crucible). I stick to end game stuff, so wandering or PvP - perhaps that isn't my thing. The only reason people used fatebringer in Crota hard, was because of etheric light. Anyone who thinks they could have just used fatebringer or Vision of Confluence for crucible and patrols would not have ascended them. I'm willing to bet everyone did. There is a reason for that. That reason still exists today.
-
Remember that this gear isn't really leveled anymore, it's quite possible that raid gear will boast incredible light and still be relevant even if not super awesome.

Edited by JasperGTR: 8/21/2015 4:22:43 PMSo we don't know. Cool. Just like everything else. Nobody really knows anything. Bungie's PR dept's goal of answering nothing, and creating more questions is really working.

Vault space, vault space? VAULT SPAAAAACE!!

That's how hype works man

Yeah, I know. But on me, this time (in retrospect to last year's reveal, and everyone since then), it is having the opposite effect. I was ready to order, then waited, then frustration, then - I just need a reason to not buy. And noticing the mismanagement and deception hasn't changed, that is reason enough. I remain here because I'm hopeful my perceptions are wrong. But as of now, there is no way in hell I'd get excited about anything they are releasing, since the goal is to promote what could be either gold or garbage - but they'll appear to be the same thing fro a PR perspective. It is obvious from past releases, that Bungie themselves don't know the difference. And nothing matters until it is bought and paid for, and even then - it can change a week later (as they've demonstrated over and over).
