They aren't we will have blueprints to keep our exotics even if we dismantle them in fact, some exotic weapons and armor will be carried into year two damage but unfortunately not all will though. Also exotic weapons from year one will look different if they were carried into year two damage such as Suros Regime, its white and red now.... But the year two version will look steel-grey and red.
