This game is an mmo. This happens all the time, also you can still use your Gjallahorn in lower leveled activities if you please.

  • It's an MMO style game that doesn't focus on what major MMO companies focus on. Character building and class trees. It literally takes a day or two to get your character to its maximum potential. Real MMOs take much longer. If a real MMO'S gameplay is 70% character building and 30% obtaining gear, Destiny would have about 5-10% character building and 90-95% gear obtaining. Add to the fact that they WANT people to reach end game fast by giving them a level 25 boost, experience boosts and it's obvious obtaining gear is what they are aiming for. So why then does it make sense for such a game to set progress back by replacing the gear? "Because it's an MMO"? Real MMOs don't try to invalidate what you've done in the past. Yes, it makes you gear obsolete, but in those games gear doesn't matter as much as your character does. It Destiny, obtaining gear is the only thing to do when you can't do anything else character-wise, and unlike real MMOs, the character building portion of the game goes by so fast it's basically given to you.

  • People care about all their exotics it's presumptuous that you think everyone only cares about one weapon. Why should we lose the thing we pun in time and effort to get if they are op nerf then don't make them worthless. And your defense of use them in old activities WE DIDNT -blam!-ING BUT TTK TO PLAY VANILLA DESTINY!!!

  • This game is not a ducking MMO. Bungie has confirmed that the day it launched. Only sixteen players can be in the tower. While in an mmo thousands of players can be in one area.

  • Ok lemme correct myself, its a sad attempt at an mmo. It takes many cues from mmos and has a lot of similarities but still pretty lame at its mmo attempts. But what did you expect from ttk? I was kinda happy when I saw they weren't bringing all the old stuff and only bringing a few. They could filter out the op stuff, and we could focus on getting cool new stuff instead of thinking witch exotic to infuse with my gjallerhorn. It's going to be refreshing and feel new. Also more time spent in end game not like how where you leveled up everything you needed in the first couple of weeks.
