I have plenty of people to play with game with. I have four pages full of people to play with. The problem with people is that they are anti-social and greedy. They only want to interact with other people when they need something from them. Also, some people are complete dicks in the game. I can see why they would demand matchmaking. That would force people to play with them and put up with their bs. I'm glad matchmaking is a part of the game. If you can't make friends you have issues.

I have 20 friends online right now and only 2 are playing Destiny. It's not about friends, it is about having the ability to enjoy the game without having to add fake friends from out of game sites. Then there is also the issue with time zones, systems and life activities, you cannot say that those who request optional matchmaking are anti-social, when Destiny itself is anti-social

That fact that you view getting to know people as "fake friends" tells me a lot about your personality. The same social skills I use in everyday life I use to help me make friends with people in the playstation network. Plus, your argument is counter intuitive. You talk about playing with fake friends yet you want forced matchmaking. If you can't connect with people don't force people to have to play with you. When people play with me, they know ahead of time that if we run a Raid, I can fill a party list.

He's right, they are fake friends. I have had to clear my friends list put numerous times from using lfg. I had about 25 good friends who played destiny and none of them play anymore. With the news of Taken King and Bungie taking a shit on our time we put in year one none of them are coming back. Plus there is an onslaught of new games that are multiplayer and coop focused coming out, which pulls people away. I feel like they will have to add match making to keep the player base intact. I have always been confused why the daily story based missions aren't match made. It seems like they don't have a way to code for scaling of difficult and optional matchmaking. I think it can't be done at this point. We will have to wait for Destiny 2.
