That's the whole point of an MMO, but y'all are just too worried about the few things that will be lost rather than the all the amazing stuff bungie is doing with the DLC to fix the game, getting new gear and old gear becoming less powerful is the point of an MMO
Mmos have thousands of weapons, destiny can't compete against the amount of content an mmo has. That is exactly why its a terrible idea to make year one guns non-upgradable. They need more content not less and I understand that they arent removing them but 30 exotics sitting in a vault never to be used again is as good as removing them because they would be useless.
All the hours Ive put into this game and leveling the gear. Its not only that even the new exotics from the prison of elders are gonna be obsolete. I really don't know what bungie is thinking?
Content in video games sell yet at every turn bungie is removing content or making it irrelevant. Its as if they want to sabotage their own company.
I can tell you this though, I spent hundreds of hours in this game trying to get the best exotic gear and I also preordered the taken king but knowing how bungie doesn't care about pleasing their customers and will gladly erase their hard work aquiring these weapons and leveling them, countless nightfalls and raids. I won't put that kind of time into the taken king for fear that they will just make the new weapons irrelevant. So no more grinding nightfalls, heroic strikes and raids.
Im not quitting the game but I definitely won't stay loyal to this type of thing unless bungie does damage control and changes.
