Shriekers and Servitors

Are Shriekers just corrupted and dead Servitors? (Disclaimer: this is complete speculation and only a few lines of grimoire are used, but an interesting topic) Servitors and Shriekers are very similar in nature. Floating balls of void light that kill stuff with more void light. The grimoire states that Servitors are the Traveler's gift to the Fallen before the Whirlwind. Shriekers have almost no backstory behind them. Hopefully I can shed sone light on what they may be. First of all, the Shrieker grimoire states that their purpose is to
watch over their domains
or they are simply a weapon for the means of the Hive. The definition of a servitor is:
a person who serves or attends on a social superior.
or, in other words, a servant or advisor. Both of their purposes are to serve a superior, whether it be Hive or Fallen. Now, the Fallen aren't exactly superior to servitors, but the servitors do seem to respect them. On the other hand, Fallen need servitors to survive at all. The ether they produce is the only thing that they need to live. If someone were to, say, take a servitor, there would be some tension between them. We always see Hive and Fallen fighting on both Earth and the Moon. They are never allied. Many times you encounter the two fighting, a shrieker is near. What if, the shriekers are actually dead and corrupted servitors, twisted and changed by the Darkness? They both have hardened shells that protect their void light from incoming fire. The Hive are known to conduct morbid rituals and torture techniques, so my thought is, they removed the purple shell from an average servitor and made a more "easy to access" Hive version. This is why shriekers open and close. Now, why do the two shoot different projectiles? I have no idea. It may be because of Hive rituals, but I honestly dont know. My speculation is, the Hive stole the Fallen's source of life, and the fallen seek to get revenge. This also supports the random Fallen invasion during the Shrine of Oryx mission. Id like to know if you guys agree with me. I put way too much thought into this :P TLDR: Shriekers are corrupted and mutilated Servitors after lots of torture by the Hive.
