He got what he deserved. He was a -blam!- to those that disagreed and it's about time he and his cult following was dealt with
But seriously though, he broke the CoC. Yes he was influential and had good posts but that doesn't give him special rights. As such it would set an example that braking the CoC is nothing and can be gotten away with if you have a good standing in the community

I do think he was a touch on the narcissistic side as his posts came across as self aggrandizing tributes to his prior gaming experiences, as well as attempts at establishing a monument to his literary capabilities. Problem is that he lacked variety and ended up repeating himself, ad naseum, to the detriment of many forum readers, myself included. I didn't dislike his ideas, rather, the redundancy and strong overtones of self import that they displayed. I also think his frequent posts made him a target for trolls as well as a winning over a large number of followers, which got to his head. He slipped up and, as a result, he ended up banned for an indeterminate amount of time. Hopefully he takes this time to reflect on his actions and better his forum etiquette.
