This is about the worst way to present Christianity I can think of.
English
-
Why, because I'm encouraging atheists to actually study and understand what they foolishly reject?
-
Calling us fools for what we believe in is a pretty asshole thing to do. I come from a christian family and after years of thought on the subject I have decided I'm atheist. I don't go around saying you're a fool for believing in a god, and there are a hell of a lot more blind christian followers than there are uneducated atheists, so how about you try to be a little less of an asshole next time
-
I didn't. I called you fools for making fallacious arguments.
-
Also the only thing we reject is your religion so you must have been referencing Christianity, or hod.
-
You said "encourage them to understand and study what they foolishly reject". So either you're referencing god, or your a complete moron and need to go back to third grade English. I'm starting to thing it's the latter.
-
Exactly it's foolish to reject something you don't understand.
-
Which you are referencing God with. And stating we are fools for our beliefs. You should stop posting if you can't actually defend anything you decide post.
-
I've defended it perfectly. You can believe whatever, but don't let it be based on foolishness.
-
-blam!- you. It's based on facts. You keep re stating the same shitty argument and acting like you know what your talking about. Tell me one reason to believe in god
-
Tell me one reason not to. Now read that carefully. I'm not asking for proof that God didn't exist.
-
I'm not going to tell you, you shouldn't believe in god, I'm going yo tell you why I don't. I can't believe in something there isn't proof of. I can't believe in something that claims to be just, but would kill all who oppose and won't repent, I can't believe in something that states no sin is worse than another when we have anywhere from -blam!- to theft as sin.
-
The bible says that some sins are worse than others. It also says that the severity of your punishment in eternity will be based on the severity of your sin.
-
You could word it more kindly.
-
I don't see it as being unkind. Blunt maybe, but not unkind.

It's the truth, so be it.

Edited by Firewheeler: 8/23/2015 6:29:26 PM
This is about the worst way to present Christianity I can think of.
Except for crusades. That was just stupid.
-
I hope you know crusades were less about religion and more about holy "lands". Almost every war has been to gain power, money, or land. If you believe it was for religion you are not thinking logically
-
I do know that very well, but it was in the name of Christianity, giving it a reputation
-
Yeah but people are people man. Atheists and Christians are all greedy and if they have any influence they will use it to get more. We have gone to war supposedly to bring democracy but we all know that wasn't it. We can't judge a whole group of people based of that
-
I agree, but a lot of people don't see it that way and I was speaking from their perspective.
-
Touché. Though there was a lot of political influence in the Crusades as well.
