The problem is that bungie is trying to serve the new comers and ignore the tenure of the current players. See, if im a new comer interested in destiny, I'd probably get turned off if I learn that most players already have end game gear and have so much advantage that I would have a year of catching up to do. Now that bungie is doing a "hard reset" to the game, new and old players are in the same level of playing field, meaning more newbies = more money for bungie and activision. Its sad but its true.
