Who thought something like this would be good? lol
Edit: people upset I don't like it lol
Edit 2: read below and spot butthurt Xbox users
-
I like it just fine
-
They are changing it this Fall
-
You realize they said at E3 they're changing the UI?
-
I can't friggin find my way around it, especially if I want to reset a game or unsnap something.
-
It's pretty bad. I can only guess that the tile setup was used with the Kinect in mind, the tiles that Microsoft uses for everything now only make sense on devices that use touch or gesture control. For a regular controller or remote it's horrible. The update is supposed to fix a lot of this, thankfully. It can't come soon enough.
-
Yeah I hate it too, I'm waiting for the damn update
-
I agree. As someone who plays the 360 and ONE frequently. I personally find the ONE UI very unfriendly and unneededly confusing.
-
I've hated it since the start. I'm used to navigating now so the real issue is how slow it is. Really pisses me off that it's about as bad as the 360's NXE.
-
I don't know whose idea it was to get rid of the pop up menu from the 360. Now if I want to invite my friends to a game, I have to exit my game, open a new app, invite them, exit THAT app, and then I can go back to my game.
-
I agree, the 360 UI was much smoother. I find that the One's UI is just straight up glitchy and unusable due to app crashes. Hopefully Windows 10 will bring something better to the table though.
-
Its slow
-
I just like that microsoft has monthly updates addressing features/ bugs unlike sony who updates kinda infrequently On the upside, i cant wait for the new xbox ui, looks soooo much better
-
I hate it, constantly freezing and to many boxes to open, terrible design after they had the 360 dashboard.
-
Honestly it could be better.
-
Edited by Salt: 8/26/2015 12:06:22 AMUi in the Thumbnail looks better than today's
-
I don't mind it. It's not that difficult to navigate for me. However I kinda miss dashboard
-
It's very annoying when you double-tap to record something and it detects just the one press and takes you home. And when stuff just refreshes or plain doesn't display.
-
I don't like it either, thank God they are changing it this holiday season
I am a Xbox one player
-
Because Microsoft.
-
If it's anything like the 360's numerous UI updates, the current one won't stay around.
-
Who thought taking 10 steps backward from the Xbox 360 UI was a good idea?
-
I think it's great, but I wish it still had that little rectangle menu pop up when I hit the [xbox] button.
-
I don't know. Playstation's is pretty nice though.
-
Because it was designed for voice commands. Ms honestly felt we would all be perfectly fine talking to an inanimate object even if it didn't work 100% of the time. It's been slowly improving and will supposedly be fixed when integrated with windows 10.
-
Microsoft overdoes everything. The system is clunky are hard to deal with. Voice commands work half the time. Accessing msgs within a game stop the game......the list is endless of "What could be better"!

Edited by Guardian2485: 8/24/2015 11:25:46 PMIt's pretty bad, and really confusing at first, they should bring back the original "Blades" dashboard from the 360.
