Exotic Primaries and Elemental Damage

Add a way to give exotic primaries element dmg PvE

Leave them, I'm happy with how things are.

Exotics primaries should do more dmg to shields.

Exotics are... something to be proud of. When get an exotic you really love, it should be something not just satisfying to look at or shoot, it should be effective as a weapon. Now while not all exotics are this way even in the crucible, I believe it's slightly silly that exotic primaries don't have elemental damage. What I'm proposing is that there should be a way to add elemental damage to exotic primaries. Take my Hawkmoon for example; I treasure it. Got it in a Nightfall. But it's tough using it outside of the Crucible simply because it only causes Kinetic Damage. Fatebringer, Word of Crota, and generally all raid primary weapons just outclass exotic primaries, even something as infamously powerful as Hawkmoon, in PvE gameplay. In short, for exotic primaries to be considered seriously in PvE scenarios, there needs to be some kind of change involving elemental damage in The Taken King so that they aren't just beaten by raid primaries. Thoughts?

Does seem a bit silly as bungie said exotics are supposed to feel overpowered and "exotic" yet what's the point in using them in pve if they have no elemental damage. Mine are all just in the vault getting dusty. Also now legendary weapons can do 365 damage it kind of already makes most exotics pure crap anyway. When there was a damage gap between the two it made it more tactical.
