If you weren't in the chat the other day we've realized a strong connection between Hawkmoon and Cayde-6.
The description is a "true gunslinger's weapon" and the exotic perk, Holding Aces. Cayde-6 has armour featuring spades clubs hearts and diamonds, so it's likely either his, or Andal's.

Ikora gave her invective away...that's HER weapon. No reason Cayde couldn't have lost it on a mission.
