For what it's worth, DestinyLfg is pretty decent to use to find a raid team. While yes, there are some posts on there saying "experts only, with max GHorn" there are also plenty out there that don't. And some that even state they're willing to help some newbies through it their first time. So it's worth trying. But since the DestinyLfg only shows the last 5 minutes' worth of postings you might sometimes get unlucky and see 5 minutes of "Max GHorn Only" up there. But let it cycle through.
