Serious End Game Enthusiasts Only - poll: Weapon/Armor Obsolescence
Please share your thoughts on how year 1 weapons/armor should be handled with respect to the new DLC. While every player's opinion counts I'm trying to sample serious end game content consumers so please meet the following criteria (5 out of 6 is fine) before answering the poll.

Why is even PvP a criteria ? I play PvP only for exotic bounties/Crucible shaders, I don't see the Crucible like a major part of the game. So why do I have to endure destiny PvP to appear as a veteran player ? If I want the kind of PvP I love I switch to Battlefield. Sure Destiny PvP can be fun, even with the fact that it's unbalanced and based on OHK weapons, but it's hardly a criteria for being an end game content player.

I agree with the criteria except the skola one. Beating it once is fine in my book. Poe sucks and i dread doing it.

1 ReplyEdited by Ronin Tanuki: 8/26/2015 4:44:25 AMImo, there's only like three Titan exotics worth their slot. These are Ruin Wings, Armamentarium and Helm of Saint 14. If these can't be upgraded in 2.0, I certainly hope there are better exotics out there for a Titan.

I wouldn't be surprised if they incorporate a new etheric light system with the expansion next may like we got in HoW. To bring your current and new year 2 legendary gear to the max light and damage for year 2

My iron banner rank max before auto rifle boss. I was a Suros man. I think its a great game but there is room for improvement. Like dropping last gen. It's holding back next gen. We could of had a better crotas end raid I only beat skolas twice because it is boring

Honestly it will be nice to have weapons and armor to look forward to again. It's been so long since I've gotten excited over a drop that leaving my old gear in the dust will be a welcome change.

It's been fairly steady around 40% in favor of the destiny innovating new weapons to obsolete the old and 60% in favor of the current plan. This is obviously a divisive issue. I suspect that some of the most frustrated members have already left and decided to move on so the poll is self selecting by being on the forums. It will be interesting to see if there is a response from Bungie to it's customers.

1 ReplyI was a bit dumbstruck when i realised not only are year one legendaries being left behind but some exotics are as well. i had saved up so many drops hoping to transfuse which leads me to this. They should allow transfusion to work with both lower level weapons and armour by which i mean lets say you have 280 piece of gear to bring it up using lower gear it would take a certain amount of lower gear to add to its power.
